Notice Regarding the Establishment of a Production Company in Japan through an Absorption-Type Company Split Agreement with a Consolidated Subsidiary
ETRIA CO., LTD. (Head Office: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President & CEO: Katsunori Nakata, hereinafter “ETRIA”), a joint venture between Ricoh Company, Ltd. and Toshiba Tec Corporation engaged in the development and production of multifunction printers and related products, hereby announces that on August 26, it entered into an absorption-type company split agreement with its consolidated subsidiary, Yamanashi Electronics Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture; President & CEO: Hidenori Minowa, hereinafter “YEC”).
Through this agreement, a new company will be established based on YEC, and the domestic production functions of ETRIA’s Numazu, Gotemba, and Tohoku sites will be transferred to the new entity.

Purpose and Objectives
ETRIA was established to respond to changes in the market and environment by integrating the development and manufacturing technologies of like-minded companies, primarily in the printing industry led by Japanese firms, thereby building a stable supply system for highly competitive products.
The formation of the new company aims to further advance Japan’s manufacturing excellence—characterized by outstanding technology and experience—and to produce innovative products that deliver value to customers. By consolidating ETRIA’s domestic production functions for multifunction printers, printers, peripherals, supplies, and key components into the new company, we will strengthen our manufacturing capabilities, establish a lean and robust management foundation, and foster professional talent. Our goal is to achieve industry-leading competitiveness in manufacturing and circular economy practices.
